Lee Quessenberry is the co-founder and brand manager of Jim Quessenberry BBQ. He is the older son of two-time world BBQ champion Jim Quessenberry, and grew up on the competition circuit — in the photographs from 1989, a seven-year-old Lee is already on camera rubbing ribs.
After Jim's passing in 2000, Lee carried the recipes in his head and in his kitchen for over a decade. In 2014, he and his brother Michael began hand-bottling Sauce Beautiful and Spice Beautiful again using their father's exact original formulas. Nothing was modernized. Same recipes, same small-batch approach, same championship taste.
Lee manages the brand, the business, and the storytelling — writing the guides, maintaining the site, and making sure every bottle that goes out the door represents what his father built.
