Sauce Beautiful is the original BBQ sauce championship pitmaster Jim Quessenberry created in the early 1980s. It's the same sauce that helped him win Lisdoonvarna in 1985, place top three at the KCBS American Royal, and become a BBQ Hall of Fame semi-finalist. We bottle four varieties: Original, White (an Alabama-style mayo-based sauce for chicken), Hot, and Gold.

Spice Beautiful is Jim's championship dry rub. Same recipe, same proportions, same notebook. We make it in two versions: Original and Hickory. Goes great on ribs, brisket, pork shoulder, chicken — anything that goes near a smoker.

Yes. The Brothers Q (Lee and Michael, Jim's sons) make every batch using their father's original 1980s competition recipes. Nothing has been modernized, reformulated, or watered down for mass production. What's in the bottle is what won the trophies.

White Sauce Beautiful is our take on the classic Alabama white BBQ sauce — mayonnaise-based, vinegar-forward, heavy on the black pepper. It's specifically built for smoked chicken (though it does wonderful things to fish, wings, and pulled pork too). The other sauces are tomato-based reds in different heat and sweetness profiles.

We ship anywhere in the continental United States. International shipping isn't available right now, but we're working on it.

Pre-orders opened July 7, 2026. Fulfillment begins Tuesday, July 14. Sauce, rub, and combo packages ship from Arkansas on Tuesdays and Thursdays only — then most U.S. orders arrive in 3–5 business days after they leave our dock.

No. All Sauce Beautiful and Spice Beautiful orders are final sale — no returns, no refunds. That includes one-time bottles, jugs, rubs, combos with sauce/spice, and Refill Club prepaid year schedules. Damaged or lost-in-shipping items are replaced. See our refund policy.

Pick any sauce or spice and a prepaid year schedule that actually differs by ship count: Pit Starter holiday = 2 peak-cook drops (July 4th + Thanksgiving/Christmas) at 10%; Pit Crew quarterly = 4 seasonal restocks at 15%; Competition monthly = 12 drops at 18%. You prepay the year at checkout; the prepaid year is non-refundable. First box includes stickers, magnets, and recipe cards. Min. 2 bottle-units or 1 gallon jug per shipment. Details at /club/.

Yes — Michael and Lee handle private events and catering across Northeast Arkansas. Leave your email on the Events & Catering page and they'll follow up personally. Lodge or venue availability is checked only when it becomes part of your quote.

Yes — mention dietary needs when you email us or after Michael and Lee follow up on your lead. They plan vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and allergy accommodations when you share headcounts. BBQ is our specialty; sides and sauces can be built around your guests. Sauce Beautiful Original and Hot are vegan-friendly; White contains mayonnaise.
