Arthur Lee McDaniel is Arthur — Jim Quessenberry’s best friend, right-hand man, and the cowboy from Birdeye Jim called his partner-in-crime. He showed up when it mattered and sometimes disappeared when the trouble started (occasionally because he caused it).
Nearly every early batch of Sauce Beautiful and Spice Beautiful — stove top to mixing tank — was handled by Jim, Donna, Michael, Arthur, and Lee. He was production lead in that kitchen, not a guest.
Arthur supplied the frog for the Year of the Bullfrog prank. He sat with Jim on the Smokestack Lightning tapes with Lolis Eric Elie and Frank Stewart. When Lee picked up the phone during those sessions, he had to tell the callers they were talking to Arthur.
